@paigepineapple they are a South korean boyband.
BTS means like Bangtan Boys this means that they are "Bulletproof" and this means that they Bulletproof to all this haters, and this bad peoples in the world.
They started making music together officially in 2013, BTS has 7 members:

•RM (that's his artistic name the real name is Kim Namjoon)- songwriter, Leader, rapper and (dancer).💜
•Jin (real name Kim Seokjin)- visual, vocal and (dancer).💜
•Suga (real name Min Yoongi)- songwriter, rapper and (dancer).💜
•J-Hope (real name: Jung Hoseok)- songwriter, dancer and rapper.💜
•Jimin (real name: Park Jimin)- vocal and dancer.💜
•V (real name: Kim Taehyung)- vocal and (dancer).💜
•Jungkook (real name Jeon Jungkook)- vocal, (rapper) and dancer.💜

(All of them dance, but some of them are more specialists at dance, but they all can dance very well💜)
(They all have made songs, but some of them made more songs than other so that's why I didn't put 'songwriter' in all, but all of them already made songs💜)

In their music they usually talk about important things like love yourself (they have 3 album called 'love yourself...')
Well, they talk about soooooo many important things, and they have diverse style of song (only rap, only vocal, Hip Hop style, Pop style, some songs have like a rock vibe, and more)
Their fans are called ARMY💜
