Kitsch is exacting. Kitsch takes everything literally and then RUNS WILD WITH IT TO THE MASSES.

I decided to do a tribute post to kitschiness by choosing to only include "literally" items. Kitsch Unbridled. You know she's a horse girl because there is a picture of one on her t-shirt. Kitsch is about taking a thing out of its context and putting it somewhere completely unrelated (like pictures of cartoon characters on shoes). Or it's about representing something in a copy-cat fashion with cheap materials (like the seashell box made out of blue plastic in exactly the shape of a seashell).

@raethemermaid I totally agree πŸ˜€β€¦ too much is too much. Letβ€˜s say I love watching these kitsch items and it makes me smile but I would not feel comfortable to be surrounded by them 😊.

@looksgoodlooksgreatlooksawesome definitely. I have several! But I know some people who hoard kitsch, unironically. That's where it gets ugly to me: when people have no vision for their homes or closets and it's just a bunch of cheap sentiment or nostalgia. And I mean ugly as in sad because at extreme levels, consuming so much kitsch implies other underlying issues (usually identity issues). Anyway. Lol. I know some sad people.

You didn't imply that I hate kitsch but just for the record I case anyone else is reading this, I'm not anti-kitsch things, but definitely against kitsch lifestyles. :P
