beautiful ♥️ ugh this one really got to me… I love Vivienne Westwood so much :( she’s like the person I reference in pretty much all of my essays for uni, the way she built her brand and her role in social and environmental issues/advocacy… The way she brought Punk - a counterculture originated by the queer&working class of Britain during an economic crisis - into high fashion was just badass. Even in her modern career, she sent models down runways in front of the super rich and famous in pieces covered in anti-capitalism/anti-fascism designs. A true powerhouse in the industry.
