In a clear indigo sky, The moon is out, And I see it’s scars: The dark in the light... Still shining despite. Taking what belongs to the day, Making it soft and beautiful… The sun has no scars. It burns the things that hurt… But the moon is painfully real. You can see it’s life The evidence of vulnerability on its surface… Flawed but beautiful. Allowing the light of other distant suns shine with it… Bright without taking the spotlight. We should all be as the moon Broken but shining... Lighting up the dark. #moon#night#stars#poetry#discoverme

I got chills after reading, this is lovely! I love the moon and moonlight too...what a beautiful way to describe and explore its qualities. I once read that moonlight is actually colder than shadow (someone bothered to measure it 😅) this is just amazing to me 💕💙 Thank you for sharing this!
