An inverted fairytale about peasant-raised princess who is the sole right heir to her late father's Kingdom, however it is her step-mother's son who has claimed the throne.
With the help of a gang of motley knights and eccentric fairy folk she finds herself at with the opportunity to overthrow her step-brother, but decides instead to give the kingship to him because he will be a better ruler than she could.
The ultimate moral of the story is that dedication and character make one more worthy of leadership than bloodline and birthright ever could.
