Dark fairycore for @shoyo._. 's "🧚‍♀️Fairycore🧚‍♀️" challenge, based on W.B. Yeats' classic poem (and Loreena McKennit's haunting interpretation.) Also takes inspiration from the old World of Darkness Changeling: the Dreaming. What does it mean to follow the fairies into the woods? There's a coming-of-age aspect, and at the same time a rejection of the notion. We all dream of flight, but how do we achieve it, and what does it cost us? Is it worth letting go of the world and dancing within the fairy ring? What joys await us when we surrender to our passions? Despite what the Fair Folk might tell you, it's not just the world of man with its share of weeping. Fairies, too, can cry. #fairycore...
