"Polyhymnia: Muse of Sacred Hymns" In my set I included the oldest known written #hymn that we have found in #Greece. It's #lyrics and #music notation written on #papyrus dated about 260 AD. When you translate the words to English this is what it reads: “Let it be silent Let the Luminous stars not shine, Let the winds and all the noisy rivers die down; And as we hymn the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Let all the powers add “Amen Amen” Empire, praise always, and glory to #God, The sole giver of good things, Amen Amen.” The #church in my picture is one of the oldest Christian churches in Greece still in existence.
