the first day in a colder climate. a man next to me says “can’t get used to this, i miss the sun.” i look over, his eyes pierce into me, like a never ending ocean or persistent rain. he had this smirk - like he knew something i didn’t. i looked down at the script we were going over, i felt like i was drowning. i had never done this before. it seemed he had. everyone else knew what they were doing but there i was, arms crossed and shivering.
