LONG STORY SHORT. HERES A POEM IVE MADE AS A JOKE TO COPE WITH THIS MORNING
Another Battle Lost
(March 23, 2024)
Upon my blanket a spider showed,
A terrifying experience to unload.
I tried to fight and face my fears,
It only ended with my spilt tears.
I knew the fight was over when i lost him in my bed,
All i wished for was for myself to be dead.
On my bed I wanted to stay,
But I am now the Spiders' prey.

@gingerqueer see, im pretty neutral with house centipedes. Those ones usually just chill in our bathroom. But like. Spiders are ALWAYS in my room and i just. I cant.... ive been trying to get through the panic but they just freak me out and i cant x.x

@dinosatan666 I get that!!!! This sounds pretty ridiculous, but when I made my peace with house centipedes, the creatures that scare me the most (so scary that I got over my arachnophobia because spiders seemed mild by comparison lol), it was when this big centipede was crawling around in my bedroom and I knew that I could never go to sleep with that creature hanging around in my bedroom, so I got out a cup thinking I could trap the centipede and release her on my back porch. Which is a pretty scary thing to do because they’re rather terrifying looking creatures ofc. But she did something interesting as I was chasing her around my bedroom trying to get her into the cup: She crawled up the wall until she was at eye level with me and then she very slowly and gently raised like half her body sort of toward me, but I didn’t take it as a threat. I felt like she was trying to communicate with me. So I told her that I love her but I don’t want her in my bedroom and I’m totally fine with her sharing my house as long as she can stay out of the area where I sleep so that I can sleep in peace. After that, the centipedes never came into my bedroom, no joke! though I did occasionally have to rescue them when they would get stuck in the bathtub. 😊

@gingerqueer like im all good with them if they wanna be in my house. But the minute theyre in my bubbles (my room or especially my bed) i cant do handle it. I have a few spiders just chilling in my bathroom. Idgaf if they wanna be around. But if they get close to me, i freak tf out and i just cant handle it. I go 0-100 in a second....
I think spiders are cute and cool but i cannot handle them in my space. And its not just spiders. Its all bugs/insects and stuff. I just. Idgaf if theyre in the house. But in my room or near me, i cant x.x
