If you gaze at old photos from decades past, you'll often notice a different approach to dressing. Crisp collars. Tailored silhouettes. Quality craftsmanship. Even ordinary errands seemed like an occasion to dress beautifully.
Somewhere along the way, getting dressed became mostly about comfort and convenience. I understand whyβbut I still miss the elegance of making an ordinary day feel a little more special. There's something timeless and classy about putting on a beautiful outfit with intention, not because you have to, but because beauty is worth celebrating.
One piece of advice I remember growing up was to dress about 10% more formally than the occasion called forβnot to impress anyon...

Itβs always more meaningful when someone takes the time to leave a kind word about the outfit someone put effort into creating. It's also really nice when someone starts a conversation. Simply asking for likes or followsβespecially without even following the person back or acknowledging their workβcan come across as impersonal and a bit spammy.
Combyne is a place of sharing creativity, expressing yourself, connecting with others, and encouraging each other's work. So letβs uplift each other by being genuine, interested, and kind. β¨ A thoughtful comment about the art I made goes much further with me than asking me to follow you.
