Earthly star,
Flickering in like magic.
Twilight beauty,
I remember you,
As a child's wonder,
Dreamlike memories
Of a warm Georgia night,
and moonlight.
We chased you with jars,
To catch your mystery,
And see up close,
Your craft of making light.
A small miracle
Each time you blinked.
I wanted to keep you forever..
But you are a wild thing
...like me…
Destined to fly away
