@internetnerd the only reason why I physically CANT recycle much is because my mom says its "too much work". My dad tries to, but my mom doesnt care. I recycle whenever Im at school and stuff, but I hate how much we just toss out plastic milk jugs at home and stuff.... most of the sketchbooks I get are made of recycled paper and plastic. An off-white tint and a few flecks of random bits in the paper isnt enough to discourage me from using recycled stuff, it still works just as well, if not better. Society has gotten to a point for me that I honestly dont know what will be left once Im an adult. My girlfriend and I have made this whole plan about us becoming Indie Game Developers and character artists and stuff and living in a cozy fantasy-esc home in New England or Canada in the woods, but at this point I'm not sure there even WILL be woods once we are adults, or at least not enough to live in the way we want to. Another reason why I love New England, AT LEAST T H E Y KNOW HOW TO KEEP THINGS LOOKING GREEN. The trees there are so beautiful. We saw a MASSIVE birch tree there, like, COLOSSAL. You NEVER see that kinda stuff anymore. It's possibly the most diverse region in the US. Mountains, beaches, plateaus, rivers, ponds, streams, EVERYTHING! Living in Kansas can be boring, but at least it's home to a lot of historical locations and one of the rarest biomes on Earth (Plains. We learned about how rare the plains biomes are in Social Studies about two years ago) You can probably tell that Im absolutely obsessed with nature and stuff at this point XD. But seriously, society needs to pick up on these cues. Mother Nature waits for no one. If we dont do something about this, then she WILL, and that "something" probably doesnt include helping us humans. Ill continue to try my best to recycle and stuff. Ill probably try to get posters up at my High School at some point too. The school is making a point to keep people informed about all this, which is honestly really good. We have a pretty good school here tbh-
@Aesthetic_Skies I know! It's a really important issue in our world today, but not that many people seem to care. It's really frustrating. I know people who say they care just to look cool, but then continue to drive their cars everywhere and use insane amounts of plastic. Maybe they do care, but they don't care enough to do anything about it. I don't even know if the rain forests. humanity or even the planet will survive because not that many people seem to be taking action. I do my best to stay sustainable but when it feels like you're only one of few it gets really disheartening.
@internetnerd i mean like Call me a "trashy instagram white girl" but like At least I care about the fact that thr Amazon is kinda keeping us alive? Anyone who says "it doesnt matter, who cares if we lose some animals and trees" is, one, W R O N G. Two, many people do and if you dont than uhhhhh good luck living without oxygen. Like seriously People get passionate about this stuff because THE ENTIRE ECOSYSTEM COULD COLLAPSE
