today my Scotch-Irish heart softened a little bit. i think my ancestors are dancing in the sir graves. a huge thing happened with a monarch, so powerful and prevalent as Queen Elizabeth II. i bear no ill-will towards her, just the heinous institution she represents. some many cultures and lives were ruined by the british monarchy and continue to be affected to this day. may this be a step in the right direction for the world, and repairing the damage of colonialism and old (and harmful) ways. #scotland #ireland
