@john1633 Oh 100% agree. Fashion in the past is beautiful. And also, thank you. I try to be very adaptable by being able to cover every range of fashion. I feel like an adaptable stylist is the best stylist imo.
@but_did_i_ask_0 Oh absolutely, the way I see it it's like every fashion style or aesthetic is a bead, and it's up to every individual person to select their favorite beads and string their own necklace. The past had some wonderful aspects to it but no matter how much we might admire it we can never go back, only go forward with an understanding and appreciation of what once was that we can take and form into what will be. I can see that in your posts, your profile covers such a range of aesthetics but in such a cohesive way
@john1633 Yep I can't agree. Timeless fashion is gorgeous. Even all over the world's oldies fashion will always be priceless. Incorporating a little bit of that will always enhance an outfit. I prefer people to be unique and mix up cool looking pieces together, mixing, oldies, modern day, even a little of "futuristic", I feel like that would enhance anyone's look. I can't get over that!!
@but_did_i_ask_0 Yes exactly, I'm so obsessed with this idea of timeless fashion because I love the way that fashion throughout time is always in conversation with itself and I think that when we as modern people incorporate just a little touch of vintage into our wardrobes it sort of gives a sense of continuity and continuation with our collective past and the generations that came before us. For example pearl earrings look just as good today as they did with my grandmother wore them as they did when Marie Antoinette wore them as they did when the women of Homer's Iliad almost 3000 years ago. Continuity and change - I love it
@john1633 Y'know I never could find the words for it but that's exactly what I wanted to say. It has a historical vibe to it almost and it just feels well...timeless. Sometimes it looks as if you opened a vintage book with pictures and stories from the past, Just love it.
