@rockstar... Well yes and no. The community love this show because it has queer undertones, the character Garnett is a fusion between a two females identifying gems, ruby and sapphire who are a couple and get married at the end of the original series. Fusion is considered a form of love in that universe, whether that be sexual, romantic, parental or love for friends. The creator of the show, Rebecca sugger is apart of the lgbtq+ community aswell. However the show never got to explicitly say that the it was gay, and over in other countries, the characters where change so they wouldn't appears as a gay. Also it was produced by cartoon network who didn't want it to be gay, censored alot of it, and put restrictions on rebecca because "what about the children". So yes its a lgbtq+ show made by a queer creator with good but limited representation.
