What do you do when you figure out your family of origin is truly a bunch of abusers and abuse enablers? WALK AWAY. I’ve spent all of my adult life (and a good portion of my teen years) trying to make them happy at the expense of my happiness and health. They will never approve of me as I am. They only like their made-up version of me. A docile little mouse. That’s not who I am. So I’m done… for good!
