My dream life is simple: I live in a crumbling stone castle that I have inherited from a previously unknown distant uncle with a dark secret. It's always raining outside and there are no neighbors. I eat bread and chocolate and drink liqueur that magically make me skinny and pretty. I have a huge gothic fireplace in my bedroom and a bearskin rug. I have 6 large dogs, a husband who dresses like Joe Bradley, and a precocious 6-year-old daughter who may or may not have slightly magical powers to talk to animals and grow things. The government doesn't exist and there is no such thing as email. Is that really too much to ask??
