After spending a few days at our villa in Lake Como, it was time to return to one of our favourite places in Italy: Portofino.
There are places that never stop feeling exciting, no matter how many times you go back. And that is exactly how we felt coming here again.
We arrived once more at the Belmond Hotel Splendido. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I felt that familiar sense of calm and happiness that this place always gives me. There is something about this hotel that makes everything slow down.
We went up to the room, left our bags and simply took a moment to be back.
