this is a rough representation of myself at 16, which would’ve been 2008-2009. this was actually pretty emotional for me because i was severely depressed and suicidal at that age. i barely functioned as a human. all i had were my cds and albums, which i listened to in my room all day and all night. i never left my room, actually! this was probably the height of my poverty, my single mother had lost her job and her car. we were living off of food stamps and maybe $100 a month at that point. i didn’t shower a lot, we couldn’t afford it. i didn’t eat a lot, we couldn’t afford it. the recession was really hitting us really hard at that point. my family argued nearly everyday. i spent a lot of ti...
