I was walking around in a Target recently, it was still warm outside. And this person whom I read as masculine was walking in my direction and I just drank in the sight of them. Tall and bearded and hairy and handsome af and they were wearing a jumper with like a floral print. Orange and purple and green I think. And a belt bag. And combat boots. It was so lovely to see a masculine-presenting person seemingly so comfortable with their expression even though it very obviously deviated from the prescribed norms of stupid cishet-patriarchy. But as a queer nonbinary person myself, I donβt think that being labeled queer is EVER a bad thing, and cishet dudes who are afraid of being called queer for wearing what they want to wear need to recognize that queer/gay arenβt insults. If fear of being labeled queer by other people is holding cishet men back from authentic self-expression, then unfortunately they are perpetuating homophobia and transphobia, which hurts actual queers a lot more than it hurts cishet people (as we see time and time again with the incredible violence from cishet men against queer and trans folks). Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and as always, I love your creativity and your designs!!! πβ¨π
