@sassykat thank you ππ I'm actually quite glad you could tell! I intentionally made it to feel sad. Charlie is a great character, but unfortunately throughout the book series he goes through rather a lot of sad things such as struggles with mental health, homophobic bullying, disordered eating and self harm. It's a really honest and beautiful series and I'm so glad teen readers get to see kids like Charlie be open, seek help and find their happiness.
